Koe is a private reading and narration app by Zecro Studios. Koe is designed to work without an account and to keep your reading material and activity on your device.
Zecro Studios does not collect, receive, sell, rent, or use your imported documents, extracted text, reading history, bookmarks, highlights, generated audio, voice choice, or reading preferences. Koe contains no advertising, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking.
Koe stores imported files, prepared text, reading position, bookmarks, highlights, settings, and generated narration locally. This information may be included in device backups according to your Apple and device backup settings. You can remove individual books and their associated data, clear generated audio in Settings, or remove the app and its local data from your device.
Koe uses bundled speech models to generate narration locally. Document text is not sent to Zecro Studios or an external text-to-speech service for narration.
If you ask Koe to import a web link, your device contacts the website at that address to retrieve the requested content. The destination website and its service providers may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and user agent under their own privacy policies. Zecro Studios does not receive the page contents or your browsing request.
If you enable highlight reminders, Koe requests notification permission and schedules reminders locally using saved highlights. Reminders are optional and off by default. Zecro Studios does not receive notification content or engagement data.
Koe may request access needed for features you initiate, such as selecting a document or allowing notifications. Permissions can be managed in iOS Settings. Koe does not use these permissions to collect data for Zecro Studios.
Koe is not directed to children under 13, and Zecro Studios does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Koe.
Keeping data local reduces transmission, but no device storage is guaranteed to be completely secure. Protect your device with a passcode and keep iOS updated. Because Zecro Studios does not hold your Koe data, we cannot retrieve, export, or delete it remotely.
We may update this policy if Koe's features or data practices change. The current version will remain available at this URL with its effective date.
